April is here and do we dare say so is spring as well as the 2023 home selling season.  March saw a definite increase in home activity here in Central Oregon. Following the economy and mortgage rates that are now historically average, housing prices have subsided a bit and leveled off, but don’t that deter you sellers – buyers are coming out in full force this spring in Bend & Redmond.

With a great jumping off point from the month before, March saw the same Central Oregon signs of early buyer activity. Seasonality and the late spring cold usually hinders activity of the market, but both Bend and Redmond saw increases across almost all boards. It’s still important to keep an eye on these trends so that you know what’s happening and how it might affect your plans to buy or sell now and for the future. In addition, March saw an increase in active inventory for Bend and Redmond, Oregon. As continual fluctuations of the mortgage industry, so price reductions across most properties. The residential statistics for Bend & Redmond did see a small increase in average list price to sale price and the same movement for number of days on market. Even with some economy question marks, the unmatched draw of Central Oregon continues to drive the fairly steady home market. Entering the spring and summer of 2023 home buying and selling, we are seeing increases and additional opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
